Job Overview – Wound Care Registered Nurse:
Compensation: $34 – $38/hour
Location: Jacksonville, NC
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Our client is hiring a Wound Care Registered Nurse in Jacksonville, NC to lead wound assessment, develop treatment plans, and provide patient education. This weekday-only role is ideal for nurses with experience in chronic wound management, pressure injuries, and post-surgical wound care, offering meaningful patient impact in a collaborative clinical setting.

Responsibilities as the Wound Care Registered Nurse:
  • Patient Care & Treatment: Provide wound care based on evidence-based practices and nursing theory, including cleaning, dressing, and assessing complex wounds.
  • Clinical Judgment: Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status with appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Order Implementation: Execute physician-directed wound care plans and procedures within established timeframes.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on wound management techniques, healing expectations, and home care instructions.
  • Documentation & Coordination: Accurately document clinical findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications for the Wound Care Registered Nurse:
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina is required.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of wound care experience is required, and familiarity with wound assessment tools, billing, and coding is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong assessment and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize care, and educate patients effectively.
