Role Overview:
As a Vascular Sonographer, you play a vital role in providing ultrasound services to patients of all age groups in various hospital and clinic locations. This position requires strong professionalism, competency, and the ability to maintain a cooperative and supportive environment. Potential cross-training in specialized areas is also available.
Compensation: $45.00 - $51.00 / HR Location: Berks County, Pennsylvania
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities
Practice the organization's core values while performing all designated duties
Provide ultrasound services as requested in assigned hospital/facility locations
Safely position equipment and patients, explaining procedures to ensure accuracy and patient comfort
Maintain equipment and supplies in the immediate work area, restocking as needed
Recognize artifacts, technical problems, and equipment faults, reporting issues to the department manager
Perform diagnostic studies according to procedure and within the designated time frame, prioritizing patient scheduling for inpatients and outpatients
Participate in departmental meetings, orientations, continuing education, and in-service activities to enhance competencies and support departmental functions
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited program specializing in general, cardiac, and/or vascular ultrasound
Possession of one of the following credentials: RDMS, RDCS, RCS, or RVT
BLS certification is required, and ACLS is preferred but not mandatory
Basic knowledge of EKG and arrhythmia recognition
