Job Overview - Ultrasound Technician (OB/GYN):
Our client in Naples, FL, is seeking an Ultrasound Technician specializing in OB/GYN sonography. You will independently operate sonographic equipment to provide diagnostic services and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate patient care. Certification in OB/GYN sonography is required.
Compensation: $80,000 - $93,000/year
Location: Naples, FL
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Ultrasound Technician (OB/GYN):
Diagnostic Assessments: Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations.
Cognitive Skills: Use sonographic skills to record, analyze, and adapt procedures based on findings.
Differentiation: Use independent judgment during exams to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
Reporting: Synthesize sonographic and medical information, communicate findings to physicians, and document results in EHR.
Operations: Manage daily operations, including scheduling input, equipment maintenance, and failure reporting.
Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and policies.
Qualifications for the Ultrasound Technician (OB/GYN):
Certification: ARDMS certification in OB/GYN required.
CME Compliance: Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
BLS Certification: American Heart Association BLS required.
Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography Program.
Experience: 1+ year of OB/GYN sonography experience.
Language Skills: Bilingual (English and Spanish or Creole) preferred.
