Job Overview – Supervisor of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services:
Compensation: $70,000 – $95,000/year
Location: Flint, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Supervisor of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services in Flint, MI for our client. This in-office leadership role oversees outpatient programs serving adults and children with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure compliance and quality care, and promote evidence-based practices. Ideal candidates have experience in behavioral health, clinical supervision, and program management.

Responsibilities as the Supervisor of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services:
  • Clinical Leadership: Supervise and guide LLMSWs and LLBSWs, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to best clinical practices.
  • Program Oversight: Manage outpatient behavioral health programs to support effective treatment, quality assurance, and positive client outcomes.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to MDHHS regulations, billing requirements, and third-party payer standards.
  • Staff Development: Lead training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
  • Operational Management: Oversee scheduling and coverage to meet client needs, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications for the Supervisor of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of clinical experience treating adults and children with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Licensure: Active LMSW or LPC required (MCBAP CCS or CAADC credential preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in counseling supervision and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of MDHHS requirements, behavioral health regulations, payer standards, and clinical documentation practices.
  • Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, organized, and communicative leader with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and team-building abilities.
