Job Overview – Staff Pharmacist (Infusion Services):
Compensation: $125,000 – $135,000/year
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Staff Pharmacist (Infusion Services) in Atlanta, GA for our client. In this role, you’ll help launch a new infusion pharmacy location, overseeing sterile compounding, dispensing, and patient care. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, you’ll ensure regulatory compliance, support clinical excellence, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality infusion services.

Responsibilities as the Staff Pharmacist (Infusion Services):
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure pharmacy operations meet all state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Clinical Evaluation: Review prescribed therapies for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness in infusion care.
  • Medication Preparation: Oversee sterile compounding, infusion pump setup, and final product verification.
  • Patient Education: Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, storage, and adherence.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate medication records, therapy notes, and clinical documentation.
Qualifications for the Staff Pharmacist (Infusion Services):
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or advanced degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Georgia Pharmacist License required.
  • Experience: 2+ years in an acute-care or hospital pharmacy setting, or at least 1 year of home infusion therapy experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in sterile compounding, intravenous admixture preparation, and infusion therapy systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of USP <797> standards, drug therapy monitoring, and clinical infusion protocols.
  • Skills & Attributes: Collaborative, detail-oriented, and communicative professional with strong problem-solving and patient education skills.
