Role Overview:
A nonprofit senior care organization is seeking a Spanish and English-speaking Social Worker to empower community-dwelling older adults across Brooklyn and the Bronx. Leveraging compassion and clinical expertise, the ideal candidate will provide counseling, lead groups, document visits and promote wellness through evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs.
Compensation: $31.00 - $37.00 / HR Location: Multiple opportunities available throughout New York City’s Brooklyn and Bronx boroughs, primary sites based in Bushwick, Red Hook, Harlem and Washington Heights neighborhoods. Schedule: Full-time or part-time work, varying shifts on weekdays from 9 am – 5 pm
Responsibilities:
•   Performing depression screenings and assessments
•   Delivering individual and group therapy
•   Teaching coping techniques aligned to challenges
•   Building trusted relationships with compassion
•   Maintaining timely and accurate patient records
•   Collaborating via meetings for integrated care
•   Continuously developing clinical knowledge
Qualifications:
•   Master’s degree in social work (MSW)
•   Bilingual in English/Spanish ideal
•   Strong technology skills
•   Experience with Medicare documentation
•   Passion for aging services and mental health
