Job Overview – Social Work Supervisor (Child & Family Support Services):
Compensation: $72,000 – $78,000/year
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)


Step into a leadership role as a Social Work Supervisor in Brooklyn, NY, supporting our client’s family support services program focused on child safety and trauma-informed care. This role is ideal for a licensed clinical professional with experience in case supervision, Solution-Based Casework (SBC), and child welfare. You’ll oversee caseworkers, ensure compliance and documentation accuracy, and drive high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities as the Social Work Supervisor:
  • Program & Staff Oversight: Manage daily operations, supervise case and counseling staff, conduct evaluations, and support ongoing training.
  • Field & Clinical Supervision: Accompany staff on home visits and court hearings, review documentation, and ensure quality service planning.
  • Service Coordination: Collaborate with ACS, FCLS, and community partners to assess family needs, safety, and appropriate referrals.
  • Crisis Response & Compliance: Handle incidents with urgency, ensure documentation meets state and program standards, and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Model Integration: Implement Solution-Based Casework practices and represent the program in required meetings and clinical reviews.
Qualifications for the Social Work Supervisor:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or a related clinical field required (LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, or equivalent licensure strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory role within a child welfare, family services, or prevention program setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in case management systems and data reporting platforms preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Exceptional clinical judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to lead, motivate, and support staff in a high-demand environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong foundation in trauma-informed care, youth development, and family systems, with a commitment to strength-based practice.
  • Availability: Must be available to work at least two evenings per week for supervisory coverage.
