Job Overview – Senior Manager (Patient Education & Support Services)
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000/year
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Hybrid)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Senior Manager (Patient Education & Support Services) in New York, NY for our client, supporting patient education, case management, and community outreach for individuals and families navigating serious medical conditions. This role combines direct patient support, program management, bilingual education, and support group facilitation while partnering with healthcare providers and internal teams to expand access to patient resources. The ideal candidate is a licensed mental health professional who is fluent in both English and Spanish and is passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities as the Senior Manager (Patient Education & Support Services):
  • Patient Support: Provide bilingual education, psychosocial support, care navigation, and resource referrals to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Case Management: Coordinate patient inquiries, maintain accurate documentation, manage program data, and support treatment navigation and patient assistance initiatives.
  • Support Group Facilitation: Lead virtual and in-person support groups while fostering meaningful engagement and developing new bilingual programming.
  • Patient Education: Plan and deliver educational programs, maintain patient education materials, and collaborate on the development of English and Spanish publications.
  • Community Outreach: Partner with healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, and internal teams to expand awareness of patient services and strengthen community engagement.
  • Program Administration: Monitor program outcomes, prepare reports, support budgeting and special projects, and represent the organization at conferences, educational programs, and community events.

Qualifications for the Senior Manager (Patient Education & Support Services):
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Active LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC licensure is required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience providing direct patient support, case management, or psychosocial services in a hospital, healthcare, clinical, or nonprofit setting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience facilitating support groups and working with patients managing chronic or complex medical conditions is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database or CRM platforms is required, and experience with healthcare information systems or patient management software is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, along with excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to travel.
