Job Overview - School Based Nurse (RN or LPN):
Become a valuable part of our healthcare client’s team as a School-Based Nurse (RN or LPN) in Bronx, NY, providing high-quality care in a school setting. This temporary role offers the opportunity to perform both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
Compensation: $36 - $55/hour (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (No Weekends)
Responsibilities as the School Based Nurse (RN or LPN):
Patient Care: Ensure the safety of patient care, incorporating cultural values into communication and service provision.
Clinical: Perform patient screenings, triage, pain management, and other health interventions such as nutritional and discharge planning.
Coordination: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring seamless navigation through the healthcare system and coordination with external providers.
Execution: Execute medical care plans under the direction of the treating clinician, ensuring adherence to standards.
Supervision: Oversee care provided by LPNs, Medical Assistants, and supplemental staff.
Patient Support: Assist patients in self-managing diseases and behavior modification.
Qualifications for the School Based Nurse (RN or LPN):
Licensure: Current NY State RN or LPN License.
Certifications: BLS certification required.
Experience: 1 year of Nursing experience, including Phlebotomy.
Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and supervisory skills.
Compliance: DOE fingerprints required if accepted.
