TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Residential LPN (Float) in New York, NY for our client, supporting direct patient care, medication administration, and clinical coverage across multiple residential programs. This role focuses on providing flexible nursing support within IRA and ICF settings while ensuring continuity of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position offers the opportunity to work across diverse programs while partnering closely with clinical leadership and care teams.
Responsibilities as the Residential LPN (Float):
Direct Patient Care: Provide nursing care and administer medications in accordance with clinical standards.
Float Coverage: Support multiple residential sites based on staffing and program needs.
Health Monitoring: Track patient conditions and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
Care Coordination: Ensure completion of appointments, treatments, and lab work for assigned individuals.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to healthcare guidelines and policies.
Qualifications for the Residential LPN (Float):
Education: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program is required.
Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State is required.
Experience: Prior experience in OPWDD or I/DD residential settings is required.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of medication administration and documentation standards is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in clinical documentation and basic computer applications is required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong adaptability, organization, and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple sites are required.
