Job Overview – Registered Nurse (Part-Time)
Compensation: $58/hour
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Part-Time, 3 Days per Week (Daytime Hours)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (Part-Time) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting nursing care, case management, medication administration oversight, medical documentation review, and health services coordination within a residential care setting. This part-time role works closely with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical needs to promote health, safety, and continuity of care. The ideal candidate is a licensed Registered Nurse with experience in residential care, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or a related healthcare setting.

Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse (Part-Time):
  • Clinical Oversight: Provide nursing oversight and supervision of medical care services for individuals residing in residential programs.
  • Case Management: Coordinate medical services, monitor healthcare needs, and follow up on treatment plans, appointments, and physician recommendations.
  • Medical Documentation: Review medical records, assessments, clinical documentation, and healthcare logs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Health Services Coordination: Ensure required medical appointments, laboratory testing, screenings, and healthcare services are completed in a timely manner.
  • Staff Training: Lead AMAP-related training activities and support staff education regarding medication administration and healthcare procedures.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (Part-Time):
  • Education: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN) is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing is required.
  • Experience: 1–2+ years of nursing experience in a residential, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or related healthcare setting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health conditions, or complex medical needs is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, medical documentation, and clinical record review is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, organizational, training, and independent decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical priorities are required.
