Job Description
Job Overview - Registered Nurse:
Our healthcare client is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit or authorized community health center site. This role involves supporting medical care as directed by the medical staff and adhering to the organization's objectives and policies.
Location: Westchester, NY
Compensation: $51/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Including Overtime)
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse:
- Patient Interviews: Conduct health history interviews, including current complaints and medication use.
- Medical Records: Maintain and document patient charts, including nursing observations, vital signs, and test reactions.
- Clinical Support: Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients on healthcare issues as indicated by the physician or diagnosis.
- Patient Assessment: Assess and triage patients presenting in person or by telephone.
- Growth and Development: Provide appropriate care based on knowledge of growth and development principles.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse:
- Education: Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse - NYS.
- Certifications: CPR and Infection Control Certification.
- Skills: Proficient in English communication (oral and written), supervisory experience, knowledge of nursing standards, and ability to triage patient calls or walk-ins.
- Commitment: Strong commitment to public and community health, with the ability to work with individuals from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
