Job Overview - Registered Nurse:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work at our Brooklyn location. This role involves providing comprehensive health services to individuals with severe mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and histories of criminal legal system involvement.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $55/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse:
Provide 80% of medication management and health services in the community.
Administer medications, monitor side effects, and perform phlebotomy.
Coordinate consumers’ health care services and provide psychoeducation.
Assess consumers’ mental status and participate in after-hours emergency line rotation.
Complete required documentation.
Coordinate care with family, community service providers, and other collaterals.
Participate in team meetings and collaborate on clinical issues and client needs.
Use motivational interviewing and trauma-informed approaches in service delivery.
Perform other duties as required by Team Leader and senior clinical leadership.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse:
Registered Nurse (RN) with current New York State license.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with adults in psychiatric nursing, substance use treatment, social services, or similar settings.
Knowledge of community treatment, support services, and resources.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and proficient in computers.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
