Job Overview – Registered Nurse (Group Homes)
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 /year
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (Group Homes) in Queens, NY for our client, supporting nursing services, clinical oversight, and staff education across residential group home settings. This role provides clinical leadership, oversees medical documentation, supports medication administration training, and partners with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN who is comfortable working independently across multiple residential locations.

Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse (Group Homes):
  • Clinical Oversight: Provide nursing oversight across assigned residential homes while ensuring quality care and compliance with clinical standards.
  • Staff Education: Conduct medication administration training, provide clinical guidance to residential staff, and support ongoing competency development.
  • Medical Record Management: Perform chart audits, review medical records, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, residential staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident health needs and continuity of care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor compliance with organizational policies, medication protocols, and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Clinical Support: Assist with resident assessments, medical appointments, care planning, and other nursing responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (Group Homes):
  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of nursing experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or similar clinical setting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, residential care, or community-based healthcare programs is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with electronic medical records and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and clinical assessment skills with the ability to work independently, provide staff education, manage multiple priorities, and travel between residential locations are required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
