Job Overview – Registered Nurse (RN):
Compensation: $53/hour
Location: Westchester County, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Our client is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in Westchester County, NY to support radiology services in an outpatient or hospital-based setting. This full-time, weekday role focuses on patient care coordination before, during, and after imaging procedures. Ideal candidates have a strong clinical background, thrive in fast-paced environments, and communicate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and referring providers.
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse (RN):
Pre-Procedure Assessment: Review patient history, obtain vital signs, and ensure medical readiness for diagnostic or interventional radiology procedures.
Patient Monitoring: Provide direct patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures, including contrast administration, sedation monitoring, and recovery.
Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and referring providers to support workflow and ensure timely patient care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory requirements.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all infection control, safety, and radiology-specific protocols to ensure a secure patient environment.
Patient Education: Provide clear instructions and post-procedure guidance to patients and families, ensuring understanding and comfort.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (RN):
Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of New York is required, with current registration in good standing.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient, or procedural setting.
Certification: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a high-volume setting.
