Position Overview:
A school-based health clinic in the Bronx is seeking a registered nurse to provide culturally competent care to students. The role involves assessments, developing care plans, providing treatments, coordinating care teams, and supporting operations across multiple school locations.
Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 / HR Location: Bronx, New York Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am – 4 pm (No Weekends)
Responsibilities:
• Incorporate cultural values into communication and care
• Conduct student assessments and screenings
• Manage triage, pain, fall prevention, and discharge planning
• Utilize nursing processes and diagnoses to guide care
• Act as a student advocate and care navigator
• Coordinate care teams and oversee LPNs/assistants
• Support student disease self-management
• Coordinate continuity of care across organizations
• Lead data collection, reporting, and evaluation
• Obtain prescription, referral, and testing authorizations
• Maintain BLS certification and participate in emergencies
Qualifications:
• Active NY RN license
• BLS certified
• Phlebotomy experience
• 1+ years of nursing experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
