Role Overview:
Under general supervision, the RN is responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention in accordance with our client's policies, the regulations and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies and the standards of the profession. Monitors treatment plan and progress. Conveys techniques to others.
Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 / HR Location: Bronx, New York
Schedule:
Monday - Friday from 9 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities
Provides healthcare services for assigned programs
Coordinates medical referrals and follow-up care
Conducts staff training on medical administration, hygiene, first aid, and infection control
Handles communicable disease control
Attends interdisciplinary team meetings and reviews
Monitors staff health records
Provides first aid and administers medications
Supervises LPNs and RNs
Maintains medical records
Orders medical supplies
Transports individuals to appointments
Attends team meetings and in-services
Visits individuals at home when needed
Keeps current on changes in the nursing field
Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications
Candidates MUST have their BSN
Valid New York State Driver’s License is preferred
License and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
CPR Certification
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Good oral and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, employees, individuals, families and outside contacts
Must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality
Knowledge of equipment typically used by persons receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices
Must be willing to work at various program sites
