Registered Nurse | Forensic Assertive Community Treatment
Role Overview:
A nonprofit behavioral health organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a specialized Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team supporting vulnerable adults in Harlem, New York. Leveraging psychiatric nursing expertise, the ideal candidate will provide recovery-oriented treatment, medication management, assessments and care coordination to members coping with serious mental illness, substance use disorders and criminal legal system involvement.
Compensation: $65.00 / HR Location: New York City Schedule: Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm
Responsibilities:
• Delivering nursing care and medications in the community
• Monitoring symptoms and treatment adherence
• Conducting health assessments and lab tests
• Educating consumers on wellness topics
• Documenting timely and accurate clinical notes
• Collaborating with medical staff on care needs
• Linking consumers to community resources
• Responding sensitively to crisis situations
Qualifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse in New York
• 3+ years psychiatric nursing experience
• Extensive knowledge of mental health resources
• Strong assessment, judgement and planning skills
• Value member empowerment and resilience
• Cultural responsiveness with diverse groups
