Job Description


Role Overview:
Under general supervision, the RN is responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with our clients policies, the regulations and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies, and the standards of the profession. 

Compensation: $55.00 - $63.00 / HR
Location: Brooklyn, New York

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates health care services for program participants
  • Refers participants to medical services and provides follow up
  • Trains staff on medical procedures and health topics
  • Handles communicable diseases - identifies, reports, implements protective measures
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team and annual review meetings
  • Monitors staff health records and provides required tests
  • Provides first aid with outside referral when needed
  • Participates in case reviews
  • Maintains medical records for each participant
  • Administers medications, supervises storage, and provides nursing supervision
Qualifications
  • Candidates MUST have their BSN
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License is preferred
  • License and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, employees, individuals, families and outside contacts
  • Must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Knowledge of equipment typically used by persons receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices
  • Must be willing to work at various program sites
