Radiologist - Diagnostic/Interventional

Role Overview:
Join our client’s medical center as a Radiologist. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services, focusing on basic IR procedures and supporting other hospitals in reading diagnostic studies. You will also work alongside a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Compensation: Based on Experience (BOE)
Location: Osceola County, Florida 
Schedule: 
•    Shifts: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (no weekend hours at this site)
•    Weekend DX coverage in reading the work list: 12 PM - 6 PM, 7 AM - 1 PM, 1 PM - 7 AM (Dr. Patel will provide needs since she manages the schedule)
•    Call: IR call (+ back-up IR call) covers all facilities
•    Minimum # of Shifts per Month: 5
•    Length of Assignment: Ongoing

Responsibilities: 
•    Performing basic IR procedures, including occasional PE thrombectomy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, CT-guided drainages/biopsies, dialysis catheter placement, GI bleed embolization
•    Reading diagnostic studies to support other hospitals (bulk of the day)
•    Managing a daily IR volume of 0-5 procedures per day (complex procedures may take longer at Poinciana)
•    Reading mammography studies is a bonus, but no breast biopsies are required (mammo/breast imagers in the group)
•    Working with a monthly volume of approximately 5,500 studies at Poinciana (avg. 180 per day)
•    Managing a modality split of CT 54%, Angi .12%, CT 30%, CTA .9%, MG .6%, MR 2.5%, NM .5%, US 11%
•    Meeting RVU expectations of 8-10 per day
•    Utilizing the Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system

Qualifications:
•    Active Florida medical license
•    Active Florida DEA registration
•    Board Certification in Radiology
•    Curriculum Vitae (CV) with all dates in MM/YY to MM/YY format and any gaps over 30 days explained
•    All licenses, board certifications, and other certifications with expiration dates listed on CV
•    Clean malpractice history (NPDB report required if any history)
•    Supporting documents for any legal issues
