Job Overview - Radiation Therapist:
Step into the role of Radiation Therapist with our healthcare client in Lewiston, ID. In this position, you’ll administer radiation therapy as directed by a Radiation Oncologist, working with cancer patients and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and family members to provide care for patients of all ages.
Compensation: $81,000 - $121,000/year + bonus
Location: Lewiston, ID
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Radiation Therapist:
Equipment: Work with state-of-the-art equipment including Elekta Versa and GE CT for accurate treatment delivery.
Collaboration: Partner with an onsite dosimetrist, physicist, and Radiation Oncologist to ensure seamless patient care.
Patient Care: Interact with patients, families, and medical staff, providing clear communication regarding treatments.
Treatment Administration: Administer radiation therapy as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy in all procedures.
Qualifications for the Radiation Therapist:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensure: Registered Radiation Therapist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a Radiation Oncology Department preferred.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
