Job Overview - Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join their growing healthcare team in the Bronx. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in labor and delivery, managing medication, and delivering a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.
Location: Bronx, NY
Compensation: $70/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse: L&D:
Clinical Assessment and Nursing Diagnoses: Assess patients' conditions, prioritize actions, and formulate nursing diagnoses across various patient groups.
Care Plans and Emergency Measures: Develop individualized care plans, including discharge planning, and initiate emergency measures when necessary.
Therapeutic and Equipment Operation: Administer medications and IV therapy, operate emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
Patient Education: Provide and document education on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
Documentation and Evaluation: Record observations and interventions, evaluate patient progress, and update care plans.
Oversight and Environment Management: Guide and direct other nurses and personnel, ensure adequate supplies, and maintain a safe environment.
Professional Growth and Leadership: Maintain current nursing knowledge, promote professional growth, and demonstrate leadership and adherence to ethical standards.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse: L&D:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years, with postpartum experience required.
Clearances: Must pass pre-employment credentialing clearances (Background Check and Drug Screen).
