Job Overview - RN: Director of Clinical Documentation Reimbursement:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN: Director of Clinical Documentation Reimbursement to join our team in Bronx, NY. This role is integral to ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Location: Bronx, NY
Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the RN: Director of Clinical Documentation Reimbursement:
Operational Management: Oversee the operations and strategic planning of the Clinical Documentation and Reimbursement (CDR) and Health Information Management (HIM) Departments.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
Collaboration: Work with other department heads to use clinical documentation for high-quality care.
Strategic Planning: Lead planning related to Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and Managed Care Case Management.
Education and Training: Implement education plans for MDS updates, payment reforms, and quality measure changes.
Data Analysis and Auditing: Analyze and track MDS data, conduct audits to ensure compliance with NYS DOH standards.
Qualifications for the RN: Director of Clinical Documentation Reimbursement:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Licensing: NYS RN License required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with the RAI process and SNF reimbursement. Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare regulations is essential.
Certifications: New York State approved PRI assessor program completion and RAC-CT certification preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical and project management skills. Proficient with data extraction, SNF quality metrics, and compliance with Federal and State regulations.
