Job Overview - Psychologist:
Join our client in Cherry Hill, NJ, as a Corrections Psychologist, providing psychotherapy and diagnostic services within a correctional facility. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective mental health care to inmates, ensuring outcomes meet established guidelines.
Compensation: $65 - $75/hour Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
Responsibilities as the Psychologist:
Psychotherapy & Assessments: Conduct psychiatric intakes, assessments, and evaluations for inmate patients, and provide individual and group psychotherapy.
Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and treat mental illnesses, conduct psychological assessments, and provide crisis intervention.
Collaboration: Work closely with mental health and medical staff, contributing to behavioral health program development.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all care provided.
Patient Interaction: Promote a therapeutic environment and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
Qualifications for the Psychologist:
Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in NJ.
Certifications: Active CPR certification required.
Experience: Knowledge of mental health delivery systems and psychological evaluation techniques.
Skills: Strong critical thinking, assessment, and interpersonal communication skills.
