Job Overview - Psychiatrist:
Our healthcare client is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join their expanding team. This full-time role involves conducting patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, supervising medical trainees, and participating in community outreach to ensure clients receive timely and appropriate care. 

Location: El Paso, Texas
Compensation: $220,000 - $260,000/year
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the Psychiatrist:
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of psychiatric disorders.
  • Clinical Supervision: Oversee the clinical work of psychiatry residents, medical students, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Psychiatric NPs, and P.A.-Cs, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary input.
  • Crisis Intervention: Address acute psychiatric crises, providing immediate care and coordination with emergency services as needed.
  • Medical Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care.
  • Consultation: Act as a consultant to primary care providers and clinical social workers, offering expert advice on psychiatric care and treatment strategies.
  • Teaching and Education: Participate in the education and training of residents and medical students through didactic sessions, case discussions, and clinical supervision.
  • Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and administrative duties as assigned, contributing to the overall mission and goals of the department.
Qualifications for the Psychiatrist:
  • Licensure: Board certified in Psychiatry; must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas.
  • Experience: Strong clinical background with experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental disorders.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using eClinical Works system.
  • Teaching and Supervision: Experience in clinical instruction, supervision, and mentorship of psychiatry residents and other members of the mental health treatment team.
