Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Program Director to oversee the overall operation of their HRA-HASA Scatter Site Housing Programs. The Program Director will be responsible for managing staff, developing and implementing program enhancements, monitoring compliance, evaluating policies, and establishing proper procedures. This role requires a team-oriented approach, clinical staff supervision, crisis management, and 24/7 on-call availability.
Compensation: $84,319.87 - $92,393.39
Location: New York City
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
Responsibilities:
• Plan and administer daily operations across all program locations
• Ensure clients receive services aligned with their needs
• Assist in staff recruitment, retention, and training initiatives
• Prepare program correspondence for federal, state, city and other funders
• Address and correct any deficiencies cited in funder audits
• Oversee quality improvement policies and treatment/service procedures
• Manage lease renewal process with Assistant Program Directors
• Maintain 95% monthly occupancy rates across programs
• Develop new scatter site units in high-need geographic areas
• Ensure timely approval and housing placement for HASA referrals
• Implement annual staff trainings on HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance abuse
• Complete program progress reports and client satisfaction surveys
• Provide case consultation and supervision to Assistant Program Directors
• Liaise with HRA and community service providers to enhance continuity of care
• Assist Senior Director with special projects, research and reporting
Qualifications:
• Valid NYS LCSW-R, LCSW or LMSW license required
• 5-7 years administrative experience supervising scatter site housing programs
• 5+ years providing direct services to individuals with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, SMI
• Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS program guidelines and HRA/MHRA/HPD regulations
• Ability to provide emergency intervention to clients in crisis
• Strong program development, implementation and research skills
• Excellent planning, organizational and staff management abilities
• Effective communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• Community-minded, patient, creative and culturally sensitive
• Bilingual Spanish and HIV/AIDS advanced training preferred
