Job Overview - Physician Assistant:
Join our client in Boston, MA, as a Physician Assistant, conducting physical assessments and determining fitness for duty. This temporary role includes performing DOT exams, reviewing medical documentation, and collaborating to uphold health standards.
Compensation: $91,000 - $114,000/year Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Physician Assistant:
Physical Examinations: Serve as a Medical Examiner conducting DOT physical exams and determining fitness for duty.
Medical Review: Assess complex medical documentation and collaborate with physicians and departments to ensure compliance with health standards.
Training & Supervision: Assist in instructing clinical team members on EKG interpretation and other technical aspects.
Collaboration: Work with Workers' Compensation, HR, and other departments on individual health cases.
Qualifications for the Physician Assistant:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Experience: 3 years as a licensed Physician Assistant and 2 years as a Registered Medical Examiner with DOT exam experience.
Certifications: Massachusetts PA license (NCCPA), DOT certification, FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner.
Skills: Proficient in medical case management, chronic condition monitoring, and familiar with vision and hearing assessments.
