Job Overview - Physician (Family/Internal Medicine):
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician specializing in Family or Internal Medicine to join their healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary health care to a diverse patient population. This opportunity is perfect for a skilled physician passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving community health outcomes.

Location: San Antonio, TX
Compensation: $210,000 - $240,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Rotational Saturdays)


Responsibilities as the Physician (Family/Internal Medicine):
  • Patient Care: Provide general physical examinations and medical evaluations to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
  • Lab Analysis: Analyze test findings and process "normal" and "abnormal" lab results to diagnose health conditions.
  • Treatment Plans: Administer appropriate treatment plans and prescribe medications as indicated by protocol.
  • Health Promotion: Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention to promote overall health.
  • Documentation: Document and chart all treatment modalities and preventive medicine prescribed in patient medical charts.
  • Referrals: Make referrals to specialists when necessary, following guidelines established by the VP/Chief Medical Officer.
  • Support: Provide medical assistance to other physicians and mid-level providers as needed, including coverage for absent colleagues.
  • Reporting: Keep the VP/Chief Medical Officer informed of trends and increases in medical conditions reported by patients.
  • Family Medicine Provider: Demonstrate competence with patients aged 0 and older.
Qualifications for the Physician (Family/Internal Medicine):
  • Education: Graduate from a U.S. approved Medical School with completion of required Internship and/or Residency Program. Licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, must be board certified (board eligible not qualified).
  • Experience: Outpatient Health Care clinic experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Physician's Permit, Controlled Substances Registration, and Certificate issued by DEA. Must be eligible for Medical Malpractice Liability Coverage under FTCA.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
