Role Overview:
Join our client’s regional medical center as an Emergency Medicine Physician. In this role, you will provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. You will also work alongside a talented team of healthcare professionals, including 24 physicians and 12 APPs, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Compensation: Based on Experience (BOE)
Location: Highlands County, Florida
Schedule:
• Shifts: 24 Physician + 12 APP shift model
• Weekends: Yes (standard weekend rotations)
• Call: No
• Minimum # of Shifts per Month: 7
• Length of Assignment: 3 months
Responsibilities:
• Managing an ED/ICU volume of 700-1,000 patients annually
• Working in an open ICU setting
• Maintaining a patients per hour (PPH) rate of 1.5
• Collaborating with APP support (no scribe available)
• Managing an ED patients per hour rate of 2.5
• Handling a daily patient load of 1.95
• Utilizing the Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system
Qualifications:
• Active Florida medical license (must have at time of presentation)
• Active DEA registration
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• If BE, must be boarded within 5 years after residency
• Certification requirements:
• Physicians: ACLS, ATLS
• APPs: ACLS, BLS
• Clean malpractice history and background for temporary privileges
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) with all dates in MM/YY to MM/YY format and any gaps over 30 days explained
• All licenses and certifications with expiration dates listed on CV
• Availability to work at least 7 shifts per month
