Job Overview - Physical Therapy Assistant:
Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, a commitment to delivering top-quality care, and will be a highly motivated team player.
Location: Marlboro, NJ
Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Physical Therapy Assistant:
Patient Care: Assist the physical therapist with evaluations, treatments, and reassessments of patients. Implement selected components of patient’s intervention (treatment) and make modifications to progress the patient as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Adaptability: Adapt and be personable to different types of patients and diagnoses.
Documentation: Document patient progress and communicate with other members of the healthcare team.
Education: Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, therapeutic activities, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment use.
One-on-One Care: Provide one-on-one patient care using established treatment plans.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other therapy disciplines (Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy) to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all patient treatments and progress.
Qualifications for the Physical Therapy Assistant:
Education: Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Licensure: Active state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Certifications: CPR certification required.
Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
