Job Overview - Physical Therapist (Pediatrics):
Join our healthcare client in Queens, NY, as a Pediatric Physical Therapist. You'll evaluate and treat individuals with developmental disabilities, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide both individual and group therapy.
Compensation: $70,000 - $74,000/year Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Physical Therapist (Pediatrics):
Evaluation: Conduct physical therapy evaluations and screenings for students and program participants.
Therapy Implementation: Develop and implement therapeutic interventions based on program needs.
Collaboration: Provide clinical information and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support program development.
Program Direction: Guide and support non-clinical staff in classrooms and group rooms, fostering their involvement and feedback.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain documentation, including statistics, data collection, and program plans, ensuring compliance with agency policies.
Qualifications for the Physical Therapist (Pediatrics):
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensure: Current New York State Physical Therapy license.
Skills: Ability to lift and transfer participants for treatment and personal care needs.
