Job Overview - Physical Therapist (PT):
Are you are passionate about helping individuals improve their physical abilities and quality of life? Our client is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join their healthcare team in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention to individuals, ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $42 - $45/hour
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Physical Therapist (PT):
Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive annual physical therapy evaluations covering muscle tone, strength, range of motion, reflex patterns, and daily living activities.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans and goals, selecting activities to aid individuals in adjusting to their disability and teaching adaptive skills.
In-Service Education: Provide in-service education for patient care personnel, sharing relevant techniques and program objectives.
Team Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews, consulting with parents/guardians and staff to integrate therapeutic techniques.
Documentation: Document therapy activities and results, assist in the overall evaluation and rehabilitation process with social workers, nurses, and other clinical staff.
Progress Monitoring: Record and monitor therapy progress, making recommendations as necessary.
Qualifications for the Physical Therapist (PT):
Education: Master’s in Physical Therapy preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
Experience: 1 year of prior experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
License: Current NY State license in Physical Therapy.
Vaccination: Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
