Job Overview – Physical Therapist (Orthopedic & Sports Medicine):
Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000/year
Location: West Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Physical Therapist (Orthopedic & Sports Medicine) in West Houston, TX with our client. In this full-time outpatient role, you’ll evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and sports-related injuries using evidence-based, hands-on techniques. Ideal for a clinician passionate about manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, and personalized patient care.
Responsibilities as the Physical Therapist (Orthopedic & Sports Medicine):
Patient Evaluation: Conduct detailed assessments for patients with orthopedic, spine, and sports-related injuries.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized therapy programs to restore mobility, strength, and function.
Therapeutic Techniques: Apply advanced methods including manual therapy, McKenzie techniques, dry needling, and progressive strengthening.
Patient Education: Guide patients on exercise plans, recovery strategies, and long-term injury prevention.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, athletic trainers, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
Qualifications for the Physical Therapist (Orthopedic & Sports Medicine):
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
Licensure: Active Texas Physical Therapist license required, issued by the Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
Experience: 1-3+ years of outpatient or orthopedic physical therapy experience.
Technical Skills: Skilled in manual therapy, McKenzie techniques, and dry needling, with experience using WebPT EMR and rehabilitation software preferred.
