Job Overview – Per Diem Nurse (RN or LPN):
Compensation: $40 – $50/hour
Location: Norristown, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible Shifts)


Join our client’s care team as a Per Diem Nurse (RN or LPN) in Norristown, PA, delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting. This flexible role involves medication administration, clinical support, and regulatory compliance, while helping ensure a safe, structured environment that fosters healing and emotional well-being for at-risk youth.

Responsibilities as the Per Diem Nurse (RN or LPN):
  • Patient Care & Medication: Deliver routine and emergency care, administer medications, and manage controlled substance documentation.
  • Health Records & Compliance: Maintain accurate health records and ensure adherence to TJC, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
  • Medical Coordination: Schedule appointments, coordinate lab work and immunizations, and accompany youth as needed.
  • Clinical Assessments: Complete admission histories, physicals, and post-restraint evaluations with proper documentation.
  • Care Planning & Reporting: Contribute to ISPs, quarterly health reports, and ongoing healthcare committee metrics.
  • Team Collaboration & Training: Work with interdisciplinary teams and participate in required trainings, safety protocols, and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications for the Per Diem Nurse (RN or LPN):
  • Licensure: Valid Pennsylvania LPN or RN license required.
  • Certification: CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required, with preferred experience in working with emotionally disturbed or at-risk youth.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, EMRs, and knowledgeable in HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and behavioral health protocols.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong communicator with clinical assessment skills and a calm, resilient approach to trauma-informed care.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experienced in crisis prevention, emergency safety interventions, and youth behavioral health standards.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required.
