Job Overview – Pediatric RN (IDD Care):
Join our client in Philadelphia, PA, as a Pediatric RN specializing in IDD care, where you’ll provide essential medical care and family education for children in Intermediate Care Facilities. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll support children’s health and developmental needs in community homes, ensuring quality care and promoting family involvement.
Compensation: $50/hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Flexible weekdays, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Pediatric RN (IDD Care):
Care Delivery: Provide nursing care according to physician orders, assess and respond to each child's needs, and ensure accurate documentation.
Individualized Planning: Contribute to and follow each child’s Individualized Program Plan, adjusting care recommendations based on health assessments.
Collaboration: Communicate changes in children’s health to the Care Team and engage in collaborative care planning.
Education: Instruct families on specialized care practices, supporting their involvement in the child’s care routine.
Compliance: Ensure all clinical documentation and incident reporting meet established standards, maintaining confidentiality and respect for families and colleagues.
Qualifications for the Pediatric RN (IDD Care):
Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania required.
Experience: 2 years in Pediatric care required, with tracheostomy and ventilator management experience (home care experience preferred).
Certifications: Current CPR certification for infants and children required.
Attributes: Respectful and supportive of home environments, with a compassionate approach to pediatric care.
Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license preferred.
