Job Overview - Part-Time Social Worker (LMSW):
Join our client in New York, NY, as a Part-Time Social Worker (LMSW), providing on-site clinical assessment and support for weekend outreach teams. This role involves utilizing Harm Reduction and Housing First strategies to engage with individuals, determine their needs, and ensure appropriate placements.
Compensation: $32/hour Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Weekends Only)
Responsibilities as the Part-Time Social Worker (LMSW):
Outreach Support: Guide outreach teams using Housing First, Harm Reduction, and trauma-informed care models.
Crisis Intervention: Complete 9.58 assessments and removals during shifts and de-escalate conflicts.
Collaboration: Liaise with community partners, hospitals, and stakeholders to address homelessness and support patient discharge.
Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all activities and interactions.
Qualifications for the Part-Time Social Worker (LMSW):
Licensure: NYS LMSW required (must obtain LMSW within six months).
Experience: 1+ years of clinical, supervisory, or administrative experience preferred.
Skills: Understanding of Housing First, Harm Reduction, crisis intervention, and strong collaboration skills.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Language: Bilingual skills are a plus!
