Job Overview – Part-Time RN (Developmental Disabilities):
Compensation: $58/hour
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: 2 days per week, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Part-Time RN (Developmental Disabilities) in Queens, NY for our client. In this role, you will provide clinical oversight, lead AMAAP training, conduct chart audits, and ensure compliance with state standards. You will oversee medication administration, maintain documentation accuracy, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. This part-time position requires on-site coverage two days per week between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities as the Part-Time RN (Developmental Disabilities):
  • Medication Administration Oversight: Lead AMAAP training, supervise med pass procedures, and ensure staff competency in medication administration.
  • Clinical Documentation Review: Perform regular chart and medical record audits to maintain accuracy, compliance, and quality of care.
  • Staff Training and Support: Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and ongoing education to medical coordinators and direct support staff.
  • Health Assessments: Conduct nursing assessments, evaluate health needs, and support individualized care planning for residents.
  • Care Coordination and Compliance: Collaborate with families, schools, and healthcare providers while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and completing required follow-up.
Qualifications for the Part-Time RN (Developmental Disabilities):
  • Education: ASN required (BSN preferred).
  • Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in med/surg, long-term care, or community settings, with developmental disability experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records and strong documentation abilities, with familiarity in medication administration systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and compassionate professional with strong communication skills, the ability to train and mentor staff, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
