Job Overview – Overnight Registered Nurse (Per Diem):
Compensation: $52/hour
Location: Gloucester County, NJ
Schedule: Overnight Shift, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Provide overnight clinical care as a Per Diem Registered Nurse in Gloucester County, NJ, with our client, supporting individuals in a residential treatment setting. Key responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, infection control, and treatment planning. Ideal candidates have experience in substance use treatment, EMR documentation, and overnight nursing, with Kipu EMR familiarity preferred.
Responsibilities as the Overnight Registered Nurse:
Clinical Assessment: Conduct initial nursing evaluations and coordinate physical exams and screenings.
Medication & Safety: Administer medications, manage inventory, and follow safety and infection control protocols.
Patient Support: Educate clients on health, nutrition, and medication compliance during overnight hours.
Treatment Planning: Assist in developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with clinical teams.
Documentation: Maintain accurate EMRs and complete all required overnight reporting and escalation protocols.
Qualifications for the Overnight Registered Nurse:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of New Jersey is required.
Certification: Current First Aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in substance use treatment, behavioral health, or residential care settings.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems is required, with preferred experience using Kipu for clinical documentation.
Skills & Attributes: Strong organizational skills, independent judgment during overnight shifts, and an understanding of client-centered care in recovery-focused environments.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with health issues related to substance use disorders, mental health, communicable diseases (HIV/AIDS), and women's health is preferred.
