Job Overview – Outreach Program Coordinator (LMSW)
Compensation: $70,000 – $72,000/year
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Field-Based)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Outreach Program Coordinator (LMSW) in Queens, NY for our client to lead outreach efforts serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This role manages field-based teams, maintains consistent community coverage, and supports housing-focused, trauma-informed services while coordinating crisis response, referrals, and placement efforts with local agencies and community partners.

Responsibilities as the Outreach Program Coordinator (LMSW):
  • Program Leadership: Supervise outreach staff, provide ongoing coaching, and oversee daily field operations to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Staff Scheduling: Develop team schedules, coordinate field coverage, and manage staffing needs to maintain continuous outreach services.
  • Community Outreach: Guide outreach efforts, assess client needs, and support connections to housing, behavioral health, and community resources.
  • Crisis Response: Provide leadership during emergency situations, support crisis intervention efforts, and assist with complex client cases in the field.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Monitor program documentation, reporting, and operational performance to ensure compliance with organizational and contractual standards.
Qualifications for the Outreach Program Coordinator (LMSW):
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license and a valid driver's license in good standing are required.
  • Certification: Ability to obtain required field credentials within the first three months of employment is required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of homelessness services, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and housing-focused service models is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, crisis management, and organizational skills with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
