Job Description

Job Overview – Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC):
Take on a pivotal role with our client as an Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC) in Monmouth County, NJ. In this hybrid position, you will provide evidence-based treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver client-centered, recovery-oriented care, leveraging your expertise to improve client outcomes.

Compensation: $75,000 - $86,000/year
Location: Monmouth County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)


Responsibilities as the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC):
  • Client Assessment: Conduct biopsychosocial assessments using ASAM Criteria and DSM-5 to diagnose substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive treatment plans using evidence-based approaches like MI, CBT, and Relapse Prevention.
  • Counseling Services: Provide individual and group therapy to align with treatment plans and recovery goals.
  • Case Management: Coordinate care with referral sources, community resources, and external agencies.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Client Safety: Identify high-risk clients and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with the team.
Qualifications for the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC):
  • Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, with terminal licensure.
  • Licensure: Valid NJ LCSW or LPC license required.
  • Experience: 2+ years working with severe mental health and substance use populations, including experience as an LSW or LAC, with a focus on co-occurring disorders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation tools.
  • Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing client-centered, recovery-oriented care.
  • Preferred Expertise: Familiarity with evidence-based practices for co-occurring disorder treatment and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
