Job Overview – On-Call Hospice RN:
Join our healthcare client's team as an On-Call Hospice RN, providing compassionate care to hospice patients and their families in New Jersey. This role involves conducting assessments, coordinating care, and offering support to ensure a high standard of hospice services.
Patient Care: Conduct assessments and follow the established care plan for hospice patients.
Medication: Administer medications and document treatments accurately.
Coordination: Communicate with healthcare teams and families to coordinate care and address patient needs.
Education: Provide patient and family education on care plans and medication use.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and timely patient records.
Support: Offer emotional support to patients and families, fostering independence and self-direction.
Qualifications for the On-Call Hospice RN:
Education: Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Experience: 1+ years in adult, pediatric, or medical/surgical care (hospice experience preferred).
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
Skills: Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication abilities.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
