Job Overview - Occupational Therapist:
Our healthcare client in Queens, NY, is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations and therapy services for patients aged 21 and older. You'll work with individuals with developmental delays, autism, and occasional cerebral palsy, offering both in-person and telehealth therapy.
Location: Queens, NY
Compensation: $68,000 - $73,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Occupational Therapist:
Evaluations: Perform comprehensive evaluations for patients to determine their therapy needs.
Therapy Services: Provide tailored occupational therapy services based on individual patient needs.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Awards EMR system.
Patient Engagement: Conduct therapy sessions both in-person and via telehealth, ensuring consistent and effective treatment.
Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications for the Occupational Therapist:
Licensure: New York State license as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience: Preferably with a focus on developmental delays, autism, and occasional cerebral palsy.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Awards.
