Job Overview – Nursing Supervisor (RN):
Become a key part of our client's healthcare team as a Nursing Supervisor (RN) in Greenwich, CT, overseeing patient care and clinical operations. This full-time role is essential for ensuring quality standards, managing 3rd party payer authorizations, clinician schedules, and participating in QA activities.
Location: Greenwich, CT
Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000/year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts (Rotational On-Call)
Responsibilities as the Nursing Supervisor (RN):
Patient Care Management: Oversee the day-to-day supervision of direct patient care and take doctors' orders, ensuring effective communication with physicians, patients, and families.
Patient Intake & Assignment: Manage the intake process and assign patients to field staff, following up on referrals and coordinating services.
Clinical Staff Supervision: Supervise professional and non-professional staff to maintain quality performance standards, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Case Conference Management: Lead the case conference process and document telephone and in-office conferences, managing test results and coordinating patient care.
HR & Staff Development: Manage HR needs for the clinical department, assist in hiring, and orient staff to agency policies and procedures.
Quality Assurance: Participate in agency QA programs, monitoring utilization, productivity, and patient outcomes to ensure compliance with agency standards.
On-Call Duties: Share on-call responsibilities, providing coding and OASIS support, and offering direct patient care as required by staffing needs.
Qualifications for the Nursing Supervisor (RN):
Licensure: Must hold a current RN license in CT.
Experience: 2+ years of hospital experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience in public health, home health, or hospital settings.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Medicare compliance, OASIS coding, charting, and home care procedures is required.
Certifications: A current CPR certification is mandatory.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with staff, patients, and the medical community are essential.
