Job Overview - Head Nurse - Nursing Supervisor:
We're looking for a dedicated Nursing Supervisor to join our team, overseeing the nursing services at a clinic in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves administrative and nursing responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic's medical department, including the dispensary and medical unit.
Location: Brooklyn, NY Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000/year Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Responsibilities as the Nursing Supervisor:
Manage the nursing team's schedules and attendance.
Conduct evaluations and provide training for the nursing staff.
Handle hiring and termination within the nursing department.
Perform inventory assessments for medication and supplies.
Maintain regular maintenance and inspection of medical equipment.
Report any discrepancies in medication dispensing procedures.
Ensure adequate nursing coverage for dispensary, medical unit, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Provide assistance and supervision for medical care services.
Maintain patient scheduling and medical evaluation data.
Qualifications for the as the Nursing Supervisor:
Current New York State Licensure.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in nursing preferred.
A minimum of five years of experience in the field.
Proven ability to supervise and manage a team.
Proficiency in computerized systems such as word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual abilities are a significant plus.
Must possess an NPI number and be registered with Medicaid and Medicare.
