Job Overview - Mother Baby Nurse (RN):
Our client is seeking a Mother Baby Nurse (RN) for the night shift to provide specialized care for high-risk newborns in Bronx, NY. This temporary role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of newborns.
Compensation: $68/hour Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Responsibilities as the Mother Baby Nurse (RN):
Newborn Care: Provide direct care and close monitoring for newborns with medical conditions requiring specialized attention, including the use of ventilators, incubators, and other high-technology equipment.
Plan of Care: Collaborate with doctors and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for high-risk newborns.
Therapy & Monitoring: Manage neonatal oxygen therapy, intravenous therapies, and monitor vital signs using non-invasive and invasive techniques.
Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, calculate dosages, and monitor for side effects.
Breastfeeding Support: Encourage and support breastfeeding, ensure the safe use of breast milk, and provide resources for difficult feeding situations.
Neonatal Transport: Prepare for and participate in neonatal transport, maintaining NRP certification.
Qualifications for the Mother Baby Nurse (RN):
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
