Job Description

Job Overview – Mental Health Clinician (Masters Level):
Join our client in Boston, MA, as a Mental Health Clinician to provide compassionate counseling and support for diverse mental health and social needs. This on-site role includes individual and group counseling, thorough documentation, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, integrated care.

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000/year
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (On-Site)


Responsibilities as the Mental Health Clinician:
  • Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to support treatment planning, relapse prevention, family support, and client well-being.
  • Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client contacts, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and training sessions, promoting team integration and support.
  • Client Coordination: Work with other providers to coordinate care, maintaining client confidentiality and obtaining necessary authorizations for information sharing.
  • Education: Provide HIV education and pre/post-test counseling, and make referrals to auxiliary services with appropriate documentation and client authorization.
Qualifications for the Mental Health Clinician:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years facilitating psychoeducational, process-oriented, or cognitive groups in a clinical setting.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and judgment, excellent communication, and ability to manage a high caseload with extensive documentation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Proficient in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and experienced in individual and group therapy for mental health and addiction.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish and English, with bicultural competency.
