Job Overview - Medical Assistant:
Join our dedicated healthcare team in Poughkeepsie, NY, as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. You will play a crucial role in patient care, providing both direct and phone support, ensuring effective coordination with the care team, and assisting with clinical procedures.
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Compensation: $21/hour
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant:
- Provide care to patients/significant others via direct and telephone contact.
- Coordinate with other care team members to ensure seamless care delivery and maximal coordination.
- Assist physicians or other providers with clinical procedures.
Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Record of prior stable employment and/or favorable references.
Preferred Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with at least one year of recent experience as a medical assistant.
- Current certification as a medical assistant or eligibility for certification.
- Must obtain certification through the CMM M.A exam course if not yet certified at the time of employment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
