Job Overview – Medical Assistant:
Compensation: $20/hour
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Our healthcare client is hiring a Medical Assistant for a temporary, on-site role in Cherry Hill, NJ. This position supports daily clinical operations and patient care in a fast-paced medical setting. Responsibilities include patient intake, exam room preparation, provider assistance, and maintaining clinical compliance. Ideal for detail-oriented professionals with strong organizational skills and hands-on healthcare experience.
Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant:
Patient Onboarding & Prep: Welcome patients, review health histories, and get them ready for clinical evaluations.
Provider Support: Assist during examinations, perform point-of-care testing, manage specimen collection, and help with prescription coordination.
Health Record Updates: Accurately document vitals, exam findings, procedures, and test outcomes in the EHR system.
Clinical Tools & Supplies: Ensure exam rooms are stocked, maintain equipment functionality, and report any issues promptly.
Patient Communication: Offer clear instructions on medications and procedures, and address basic patient questions to support ongoing care.
Standards & Protocols: Adhere to safety, sanitation, and privacy regulations, ensuring a compliant and secure clinical environment.
Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:
Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
Certification: CMA or RMA certification preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with NextGen or other electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
Skills: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and patient care focus.
