Job Overview – Medical Assistant (Bilingual) Compensation: $23/hour Location: Queens, NY Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Medical Assistant (Bilingual) in Queens, NY for our client, providing patient care and clinical support within an outpatient healthcare setting. This temp-to-permanent opportunity will assist physicians and clinical staff with patient intake, examinations, clinical procedures, medical documentation, and daily medical office operations. The ideal candidate is bilingual with Medical Assistant training or related clinical experience and strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant (Bilingual):
Patient Intake: Welcome patients, prepare examination rooms, obtain medical histories, and accurately document patient information.
Clinical Support: Assist physicians and clinical staff with examinations, procedures, treatments, and routine patient care.
Laboratory Support: Prepare specimens, assist with basic clinical testing, maintain equipment, and follow appropriate safety procedures.
Patient Education: Provide physician-directed instructions and information regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation within electronic medical records.
Clinical Operations: Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and examination rooms while supporting efficient daily clinical operations.
Qualifications for the Medical Assistant (Bilingual):
Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent education or clinical training is required.
Certification: Medical Assistant or related healthcare certification is required.
Experience: Previous Medical Assistant, clinical support, or related patient care experience is required.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of patient intake, clinical procedures, medical documentation, infection control, and HIPAA requirements is required.
Technical Skills: Experience with electronic medical records and standard healthcare technology is preferred.
Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in English and an additional language is required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong patient service, communication, organization, attention to detail, and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment are required.
