TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Medical Assistant (Bilingual) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting clinical operations and patient care within a healthcare setting. This role includes supporting clinical procedures, specimen collection, basic diagnostics, and EMR documentation while ensuring quality care and compliance with clinical standards. This position requires bilingual proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Fuzhounese.
Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant (Bilingual):
Clinical Support: Perform patient intake, vital signs, and EMR documentation.
Phlebotomy & Testing: Draw blood and perform EKGs and basic point-of-care testing.
Specimen Handling: Process, label, and manage lab specimens accurately.
Patient Assistance: Support patient care, mobility, and overall experience.
Care Coordination: Assist with scheduling, follow-ups, and patient flow.
Compliance & Support: Maintain safety standards and provide language assistance as needed.
Qualifications for the Medical Assistant (Bilingual):
Language: Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Fuzhounese is required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or technician training preferred.
Experience: At least 1 year of venipuncture experience, preferably with an elderly population, is required.
Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and experience with EMR systems required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment are required.
